Christian Howes (musician)

Christian Howes (born February 21, 1972, Rocky River, Ohio) is an American musician, teacher and composer. He is an associate professor at the Berklee College of Music. His artistic collaborators have included Les Paul〔Mark Subel, ("PBJ & Jazz – The Cats and the Fiddle with Christian Howes" ), ''Jazz Columbus'', February 19, 2010〕 and Greg Osby, and his sponsors have included Yamaha.
The 2009 ''Down Beat'' Critics' Poll ranked Howes at #2 under "Rising Stars/Violin". The Minneapolis-St. Paul ''Star-Tribune'' called him "the finest, fieriest jazz violinist since Billy Bang".〔("The Big Gigs: Shows to watch for in the next week" ), ''Star-Tribune'', October 23, 2008〕 Howes is the brother of entrepreneur Lewis Howes.
